Sergei Tartykov

sergey_tartakovA former member of the Russian National Team, throughout his skating and teaching career Sergei Tartykov has implemented several power skating programs.

Prior to joining Minnesota Wild as NHL skating instructor in 2002, Sergei served as an instructor for Victory International, Inc.

Before re-joining the hockey ranks, he served as the principal skater in Walt Disney’s World on Ice production of Snow White.

He held similar positions from 1990 through 1994 with the Russian Ballet on Ice and the Moscow Ballet on Ice.

He also held the position of a skating instructor at the Uzbekistan Sport Club and the fitness instructor at the Palace of Sport of Perm.

As a player, Sergei was a member of the USSR Olympic Reserve Team from 1987 through 1989. He played for championship teams in Siberia and Russian Far East, as well as Ural and Volga regions.

Sergei was also on the title-winning team that captured the National Championship of Uzbekistan in 1991. Sergei graduated with honors from the Institute of Physical Culture and Sport of Chelyabinsk, Russia.

He currently resides in Danbury, Conn with his wife and daughter, teaches power skating at Brewster Ice Arena and available for private and group lessons worldwide.
